Choteau, Montana, is a community that loves its furry friends, and soon they’ll have even more reasons to wag their tails! The Choteau Dog Park is scheduled to open in late May 2023, offering a fenced-in area for dogs to run, play and socialize. The park is designed to cater to dogs of all sizes, with separate sections for large and small breeds, and amenities such as water fountains and benches for owners to sit and relax while their dogs have fun.
This project has been made possible by the generosity of our local community. Without their support, we wouldn’t have received the T-Mobile Hometown grant and reached our fundraising goal. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated to make this park a reality.
In addition to providing a fun place for dogs to play, the Choteau Dog Park will also offer a space for community events, such as adoption days, obedience classes, and dog-friendly festivals. It’s a fantastic opportunity for Choteau to become even more pet-friendly and encourage responsible dog ownership.
We anticipate annual operating expenses of around $3,000 for the park, which include water, garbage, mowing, and insurance costs. We welcome contributions, sponsorships, and memorials from the community to help cover these expenses and ensure the park remains in excellent condition.
The Choteau Dog Park is a great way to bring the community together while providing a safe and fun space for dogs to socialize and play. We can’t wait to see the joy on everyone’s faces when we open the park in late May. Stay tuned for the announcement of the opening event date!
